Hug Point State Park Elopement | Manzanita Oregon | Alonso and Paige
What a freaking elopement that’s all I can say! When Alonso and Paige reached out to me about capturing their Hug Point State Park elopement in Manzanita Oregon I could not believe it! Like most couples having to navigate the tough waters of this year and figuring out how this was going to come together. I am so glad they were able to share this moment with their closest friends and family. This elopement at Hug Point State Park will for sure be one to remember.
Last year in February Alonso reached out to me via Instagram to inquire about a surprise proposal on the Oregon coast. I was freaking ecstatic about being able to document this for them. Unfortunately when they arrived from Utah we were met with a bad snow storm the same weekend and were unable to make it out to the coast. We decided to postpone to that Sunday (Paige’s birthday) and head out to the coast.
Instead of snow we were met with intense wind and rain. Without being able to hear them on the phone, I finally found them on the coast and he got down on one knee asked Paige to be stuck with him forever. Fast forward a year later and now we are capturing their elopement on the same coast at Hug Point State Park.
We started off at their Air Bnb in Portland. Of course we had to snack on some Voodoo Donuts beforehand. We headed out to Manzanita Oregon where Paige would see Alonso for the first time. However, just like the surprise proposal they were met with strong winds and rain. Finally Paige comes around the corner and Alonso breaks down into tears.
They had a small private ceremony with their closest friends and family. Exchanging personal vows to each other and after danced out of there in solid fashion. We took some portraits out on the coast and ran around for a bit. Then headed back into Portland for the reception.
Having an intimate dinner to cap off the evening and sending them out in style with a sparkler exit. Of course it was till raining hence the umbrella but it was still all smiles for the newly weds. Honestly, this elopement was a blast to capture and for some of the nicest individuals. I am so glad you both decided to make the trek up here for your Hug Point State Park elopement. Now I am just waiting for you all to move up here, Cheers to you both and all the love!
