I have compiled a list of the top 11 wedding venues in Portland Oregon. If you are in the beginning stages of planning your wedding, these are definitely the venues you want to check out. They all have been hand selected for how well they photograph. Honestly, I feel spoiled living in this area because we have access to such a wide variety of venues. They all offer something uniquely different. All of these venues are within an hour drive of downtown Portland. Let’s get to it!

1. Union Pine

When you think of an Urban wedding one of the fist spots that comes to mind is Union Pine! Known for its clean aesthetic inside. Its guaranteed to photograph well for your wedding from every angle. It is a total of 10,000 square feet and used to be known as a storage facility. Now owners Patrick and Summer believed this location could be something more. They redesigned the space from the ground up to how it stands today. They both came up with the word Union because they envisioned the space always bringing people together. 2. Jacobsen Salt

Jacobsen salt offers a unique angle in the Portland wedding venue space. In addition to being an event space for your wedding they also sell candy,salt sets and bee local honey! It is located in the SE area of Portland. It offers a warm industrial vibe for you and your guests.The building offers a good amount of natural light. It has a beautiful brick backdrop complimented with clean white walls surrounding the space. The building was completed in 2011. An interesting fact about Jacobsen Salt is it was the first company to harvest salt in the PNW since Lewis and Clark. Definitely pay a visit to this Portland wedding venue space.

3. Castaway

Castaway. Where to even start with this place. It has been voted Oregon Brides Best of 2016,2017,2018 Venue. It is definitely not by accident. It offers large windows surrounding the main room allowing a lot of natural light into the space. Like coopers hall it has very clean walls inside which will give your wedding photos a nice natural tone.It is located at the edge of the Pearl District in the heart if of Portland. The building was built in 1929 and actually housed the yellow strand rope used in the Portland Street Car. It was later restored in 2007 to how it stands today. A premiere wedding venue in Portland. 4. Opal 28

Opal 28 is similar to blockhouse where it is tailored to a smaller wedding. Offering a variety of different options to have your ceremony. It is sure to give your wedding a more intimate feel. It has a great outdoor patio area for a ceremony. It even includes a sun cover overhead offering a nice soft light to come through, even during the midday sun! 5. Blockhouse

Blockhouse actually shares the same property with castaway. It is hidden away in an intimate garden where it offers a great backdrop for a wedding. It is situated more for a smaller wedding size. It offers an open kitchen and a furnished outdoor patio space. If you are having a smaller wedding and are looking for a more intimate space this Portland Wedding venue would be one to check out!

6. Coopers Hall

Coopers Hall was built in the mid 1900’s originally made as an auto body shop until it was later converted into what it is today, Coopers Hall. Coopers hall offers personal in house planning for all events. It was picked because of its large windows and bay doors offering a lot of natural light into the space. It has clean white walls surrounding most rooms making your wedding photos look clean and natural. It can accommodate weddings larger in size. It has two rooms within the space. The mezzanine, located upstairs overlooks the wine and taperoom. Then it has the main room The Barrel Room. If this venue is not on your list yet, it should be!

7. Mcmenamins

Mcmenamins is another great option for a wedding. Specifically the Edgefield Location. It has more of a vintage type feel to it indoors. But the grounds outside are gorgeous and would offer a lot of variety to your photos.The building was built in 1911. The rooms have been carefully remodeled with warm interiors. It also offers lodging on the property so if you and your fiance don’t want to worry about driving after the party you can stay.They have a wide range of entertainment options on the property. Including a movie theater, the black rabbit restaurant, pool and shuffle board. But if there is one thing you need to get before you leave this place its the Cajun Tots. 8. The Colony

This is an amazing space allowing a lot of natural light into the main room. It has large windows from each side complimented with black drapes. The walls in the ballroom area are white to make sure your photos will come out as natural as possible. Outside the building it has many locations great for bridal portraits, first looks and bridal party photos. This is a bigger space to accommodate a larger wedding. If you are planning on having a few 100 guests at your wedding you need to check this Portland wedding venue out!

9. The Evergreen

The Evergreen is an amazing wedding venue located in SE Portland. The venue offers a great balance of accommodating a wedding smaller in size to have more of an intimate feel. But if you are looking at having a wedding larger than 200 people it can host that as well. It has historic restored details and state of the art updates. Which allows them to blend this modern yet timeless vibe to the space. It has clean white walls surrounding the main room paired with large windows surrounding the space. Allowing a lot of natural light to fill the room throughout the day. It was formerly a Portland Police event space until a couple purchased the building in 2015 and turned it into The Evergreen.

10. The Old School House

The Old School House is a very versatile venue space. Offering the ability to host a small intimate wedding or a wedding slightly larger. It sits on four acres of property allowing a ton of different options for bridal portraits and family photos. It is nice that it is able to host a wedding indoors or outdoors on the property. It offers a very clean timeless vibe inside with its clean white walls and windows. It even was featured in Oregon Bride Magazine as one of the best venues in 2016. 11. Abernethy Center

The Abernethy Center is located about 30 minutes outside of Portland. This wedding venue offers the most variety out of all the venues. Whether you want a lush green ceremony outside in the Abigail’s garden or wanting to bring the ceremony inside at the Abernethy Chapel. They will for sure have something that will fit your needs. Most of their spaces can hold up to 300 guests and offering full service coordination and design as a service.
